Our very own Fran Neves received the Business Woman of the Year Award from the Lincoln Chamber of Commerce! We’re so proud of her. Fran has volunteered with Lincoln Christian Academy for seven years and she has single-handedly created a fantastic library at our school. She comes in every other week for library day and teaches the students about books and other fascinating subjects. That’s not all! She ALSO started up a Bird Club and shares all of her amazing knowledge to our students. The students cannot wait until second grade because then they can join. They absolutely love it and Fran is absolutely amazing.

What's New This Week
FINE ARTS (ART FAIR AND MUSIC NIGHT)
Our Art Fair and Music Night is Friday, March 29 at 6:30 p.m. Student artwork will be displayed as well as ribbons for K-8 winning art pieces. As an added treat, our students will have a musical presentation for your enjoyment. Please bring a treat to share (cheese, crackers, fruit, etc). Students are asked to dress nicely; uniforms are not necessary.
If you are available, parent help is needed to put up our students’ artwork this Thursday, March 28. Please contact the Office as soon as possible.
BBQ FUNDRAISER (Saturday, April 6)
Tickets are selling out quickly—we only have 27 left! Tickets are $35.00 each. Childcare is available from babies-11 year old. Space is limited so sign up today.
A Signup Genius request has been e-mailed to each family regarding donations for Raffles, Silent and Live-Auction items. Please review and contribute where you can. If you have signed up to be on a committee – please contact your Committee Lead to confirm where your help is needed.
BBQ PLANNING MEETINGS: We will be holding planning meetings THIS Thursday afternoon in the Library at 3:30 p.m. Final meeting date is Thursday, April 4 (12:30 p.m.).
We really need help in putting our raffle baskets together. We will be short-staffed in the office next week and baskets need to be ready Thursday. Please contact firstname.lastname@example.org for information.
END OF QUARTER
The end of the third quarter is Friday, March 29. DEAR Reading Logs are due in the office on that day.
CHAPEL DATE CHANGE
On Monday, April 1, we will have Chapel on Monday instead of Wednesday, April 3. This is a great chapel that you won’t want to miss. Mrs. Roe’s friends from Papua New Guinea are home on furlough and are sharing about their ministry there.
Join us next Tuesday, April 2 at 8:15 a.m. in the Library. Everyone is welcome and if you can, please bring a treat to share.
Parent/Teacher Conferences are Wednesday, April 3 and Thursday, April 4. Please be in contact with your teacher to schedule a meeting time. PLEASE NOTE– these days are minimum day schedule (school is dismissed at 12:10 p.m.).
Due to April 3 being a half day (Parent/Teacher Conferences), no pizza or snack will be available for purchase. Please remember that your student will need to bring a snack.
TERRA NOVA TESTING
Terra Nova Testing begins Monday, April 8 and run through the rest of the week (for grades Kinder, Second, Fourth, Sixth and Eighth). Please make sure your students are well rested and they bring a nutritious snack and lunch.
Tuesday, April 9 will be Spring Picture Day! Students may wear their nice spring clothes. Clothing must be appropriate –no spaghetti straps or tank tops. Closed-toed shoes only.
E-mails for online re-enrollment through FACTS have been sent for the 2019-2020 school year for current families. At this time, the enrollment process cannot be completed on a mobile device. We do have Chromebooks that can be used. Please contact the Office if you would like to schedule a time. Open enrollment will begin on March 20. REGISTRATION FEE ($295.00): $100.00 is due at the time of enrollment and the final $195 is due by June 10.

SCRIP ORDERING DATES
A limited amount of Scrip Cards are available to purchase at the Elementary School Office. Orders for cards not in inventory are due by 9:00 a.m. Mondays and will be delivered the following Thursday. Next order dates: APRIL 8, 29.
HOT DOG FRIDAYS
Don’t forget! This Friday, the SBG will be selling hot dogs after school in the courtyard (or cafeteria on rainy days).
